Established in 1893, American University is a private research university located in Washington, DC. Spread across 90 acres, the university campus is situated in a residential district of the city forming a community of students beyond borders. The university offers pre-college, undergraduate, graduate, doctoral, and executive degree and certificate programs across disciplines.
