The Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, the New York State Education Department, the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE), and the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business have all given it their seal of approval. Adelphi was also honoured by the National Research Centre for College and University Admissions (NRCCUA) with the Eduventures Innovation Award in 2018.

The university has a well-developed infrastructure with a variety of amenities for students’ convenience. On campus, there are recreation and health centres, parking spots, a gymnasium, a library, and a bookstore. It also features a field and different courts for sports such as baseball, tennis, racquetball, and squash. The university’s three cafeterias and food trucks are both alternatives for dining. Adelphi University has seven secure and well-kept residence halls with a total capacity of 1,300 students.

Famous people like Frances Perkins (former United States Secretary of Labor) and Paul Moravec (a composer and Pulitzer Prize winner) have previously served on Adelphi’s faculty.
