If your educational background does not qualify you for direct entry into a course of study, the Studienkollege ( Preparatory Course ) prepares you academically and linguistically for studies in Germany.
It usually lasts for one year, which is equivalent to two semesters, with the possibility of repeating only one semester. It is divided into 4 courses, each with varying subjects and depending on one’s choice of future studies, which are as follows:
T-Kurs : German , Mathematics , Physics , Chemistry and Informatics
M-Kurs : German , Mathematics , Physics , Chemistry and Biology
W-Kurs : German , Mathematics , Economics , Business and Sociology
G-Kurs : German , History , German Literature , Sociology and Statistics
The entrance exam
Since there are more applicants than places at the Studienkollegs, the available spaces are usually awarded via a ranking. In order to do this, most Studienkollegs have an entrance exam which tests you in German language and mathematics. Whether you qualify to study at a Studienkolleg depends on your results in this exam.
GRC Studienkolleg (4 weeks, 30 lessons per week)
We offer you a rolling programme of Studienkolleg prep courses. These prepare you within 4 weeks for a range of Studienkolleg entrance exams at numerous German universities.
During the course you will:
